Three weeks of Trials. One day for the Blood Binding. Zero Room for Failure.

Ben Hur meets Hunger Games in this young adult fantasy adventure inspired by the Greek mythological heroine Atalanta, the only female warrior of the Argonauts.

Being raised by Bears isn’t normal. Especially not when you’re of the Lion people. Adalana didn’t know how or why she was abandoned as a toddler in the Bear country, but her features marked her as an outsider, a Spartan “lion” from the South. Although taken in, raised, and trained by a chief’s daughter of the Bear Tribes, she knew she didn’t truly belong. Not yet.

All that would change with the Trials. Initiates who passed the Trials were made official clans members in the Blood Binding. She’d be not only adopted in name but now by blood. Adalana would finally belong—her greatest desire. At least, that’s what she kept telling herself.

Maybe then her heart would stop yearning for answers to her past. Her pride would stop craving adventure and glory, and her soul would stop stirring at the tales around the fires at night of the legendary heroes on the sea beyond Arcadia. Like those of Jason and his Argonauts. Will Adalana ever really be able to lay down her bow and arrow and learn to be content? Or, will her constant striving keep her from knowing what it means to have a family and even cause her to lose those who’ve sacrificed all for her?
